MyMind mark 15 years and are encouraging the public to actively support their mental health

On Thursday, September 23rd at 11 am, Mental Health Service Provider MyMind will celebrate its 15th anniversary of providing affordable mental health services in Ireland by hosting a live webinar event to mark the occasion, share their insights and celebrate their achievements over the last 15 years. During this time MyMind has supported over 34,900 people to better mental health through its services.

This webinar is open to the public and will look at the mental health landscape in Ireland during this time and how social enterprises have developed to deal with and solve social problems, including the challenges posed by mental health. MyMind is calling on members of the public to join the event, become more informed on this prevalent topic and take the first step to actively support their mental health.

Speakers at the event will include Minister Mary Butler TD, Minister of State for Mental Health & Older People; , Tim Griffiths, CEO of Social Entrepreneurs Ireland; Dr Philip Dodd of the HSE, and Clinical Advisor to National Office for Suicide Prevention (NOSP). You will also hear first-hand accounts from one of MyMind’s therapists and a former client as to the benefits of mental health counselling and reaching out for help.

Established in 2006, MyMind is the first and largest blended model of mental health care in Ireland. MyMind works towards giving every person in Ireland equal access to mental health support. MyMind is a social enterprise that was founded by clinical psychologist Krystian Fikert after recognising the huge demand for affordable, timely mental health support and the problems that exist in the Irish mental health sector. Involving over 100 therapists delivering a range of therapeutic approaches in up to 15 languages, MyMind now has five physical centres — three in Dublin and one in Limerick and Cork.
