Irish actor, author and journalist, Domhnall O’Donoghue has released his second novel. Domhnall’s hometown, Navan, provides the setting for Colin and the Concubine ­– a light-hearted farce about sibling rivalry that hilariously captures Ireland’s relationship with the Eurovision, the Late Late Show and the Housewife of the Year.

In the book, Colin Saint James hates his older brother, Freddie – and for good reason. A true psychopath, Freddie has been hell-bent on destroying Colin’s happiness since before he was born! Never one to admit defeat, Colin searches for opportunities to get one up on his sibling, even just once.

Will Colin be able to park his reservations about his X-rated neighbour if it gives him the chance to emerge triumphant over Freddie for once in his life?

Colin and the Concubine will be officially launched Dubray Books, Grafton Street, Dublin at 6.30 P.M. on Thursday 21 February. with a host of Irish actors expected to attend. The Navan launch will be held in Eason, Navan at 6 P.M on Friday 22 February.

About the Author

Hailing from Navan, Domhnall O’Donoghue works as an actor and journalist, dividing his time between Dublin, Venice and Galway, where he films TG4’s award-winning series Ros na Rún. Domhnall has written for the majority of Ireland’s leading newspapers and magazines, including the Irish Independent, The Irish Times and Irish Tatler Man. He also writes a monthly column in Woman’s Way, the country’s biggest-selling weekly magazine. His first novel, Sister Agatha: the World’s Oldest Serial Killer, was published in 2016.
