Minor Football League

Clara played Ferbane/Belmont on Monday night last in Ferbane in the Minor Football League. Leading by a point at half time on a score line of 3-07 to 0-15, the game remained close for the whole game and we ran out narrow one point winners on a score line of 4-14 to 1-22. The Clara team was: Josh Fleming, Darryl O’Brien, Ciaran Doyle, Josh McCloskey, Brandon Tobella, Adam Owens, Conor Egan (0-03), Thomas Dolan (0-01), Cathal O’Meara (0-01), James Moran (0-02), Cameron Monaghan-Barr (2-02), Conor Murray (0-01), Chris Egan (0-01), Mark Newman (2-02), Ger Hackett (0-01). Under 14 Féile Hurling League

Clara welcomed Kinnitty over to Pairc Phroinsias on Monday evening last in the penultimate round of the Féile hurling league. This game was played in difficult conditions but the level of skill shown by both teams was a joy to watch. Going in at the half time break Clara were 3-02 to 0-03 up. We continued to chip away with some fine scores throughout the second half and despite conceding a couple of sloppy goals we ran out deserving winners on a full time score of Clara 5-09 to Kinnitty 3-05.

The team and scorers were: Dylan Taylor, Barry Egan, Adam Carroll, Steven Falsey, Alex Egan,Jack Reynolds, Dion Conroy, Cormac Delaney (1-04), Lee Tierney, Eoin Gavin (1-00), Sean Delaney, Stephen Roe, Adam McCloskey (1-01), Pat Phelan (2-04) and Kai Dunne. Subs used: Thomas Devine, Marcus Dalton, Conor Doyle and Liam Dignam.

Under 14 Féile Football League.

Clara welcomed over our neighbours Tullamore to Pairc Phroinsias in the final group game of the Féile football league last Friday evening. Clara played some fantastic football throughout and clocked up a very impressive score line. The final score was Clara 10-18 Tullamore 0-02. We top group 2 and progress to the Féile semi finals. The team and scorers were: Conor Cushen,Aodhan Moran, Dion Conroy, Steven Falsey, Stephen Roe, Thomas Devine (1-02), Luke Kennedy,Cormac Delaney (1-02), Lee Tierney, Pat Phelan, Jack Reynolds (1-03), Alex Egan (0-03), Eoin Gavin (4-01), Adam Kelly (1-04) and Adam Grennan. Subs: Marcus Dalton, Callium Dunne, Liam Dignam, Conor Doyle, Adam McCloskey (0-01), Cody Almeida, Neil Robbins, Kai Dunne (0-02) and Barry Egan (2-00)

Lotto Results                                                                                                                                    The draw for the weekly club lotto took place on Sunday night last at Bingo. The numbers drawn were: 19-22-24-25. There was no winner of the jackpot. We had 1 match 3 who receives €150. This was Tony and Marian Roche.

Next weeks’ jackpot is €4,150 and the draw will be held at Bingo on Sunday 24^th April.

Monster Bingo

Clara GAA will hold a Monster Bingo this coming Sunday night at 8.00pm in the Clara GAA Centre. All Welcome.
