Clara GAA Notes

Scór Sinsear Uibh Fhaili
Clara Ballad group won the County final on Saturday evening in Banagher singing two beautiful ballads ‘ Donegal Danny’ and ‘Cavan Girl’. They will now progress to the Leinster semi final on Birr on 7th March. Congratulations are extended to John Scanlon, Paul Scanlon, Colette Rabbitte, Ashling Cornally and Maura Eivers and their coach Nora Heneghan Kavanagh on a well deserved victory. Hard luck to solo singer Alex Roe, who put in a great performance and gained valuable experience in his first Scór Sinsear. He will certainly be back next year. Hard luck also to our quiz team who narrowly missed out on a place in the All-Ireland after being beaten by Ferbane on a tie-break question. Thanks to Brian Gavin, Jimmy Hughes, Kevin Forde and PJ Rickard who represented the club.
