Underage Presentation Night

On Friday night last, we took the opportunity to honour our successful underage teams from 2014. We were delighted and privileged to have 6 time All-Ireland winner, Darragh O’Sé in attendance to present our young gaels with their medals. He presented medals and a trophy to our successful Under 14 hurlers who won their ‘C’ Championship along with their league and cup. He also presented the Division 1 League medals to our Minor Footballers. Lastly, Darragh presented medals to our Under 16 footballers who did the League and Championship double in 2014.

Darragh then said a few words about his own playing days and how important football and his club are to him. It was easy to see his drive and determination that brought him so much success in his playing career.

The Committee would like to thank all who helped make this an enjoyable and successful night.

 

Schools Indoor Hurling

Congratulations to St. Francis Boys School who won the Division 1 North Offaly indoor hurling tournament held in St. Marys Hall Tullamore. They defeated Ballinamere, Scoil Eoin, Portarlington,Durrow and Edenderry on Tuesday. And on Wednesdaya team of players made up of 4th and 5th class students played in Division 2 of the indoor hurling and they also won their blitz by defeating High St Clonmacnoise, Scoil Eoin Tullamore and Mucklagh. Well done to all involved.

Monster Bingo

We will be having our Monster Bingo on Sunday the 22nd of February in the GAA Centre. There is €4,700 in prizes to be won. Vouchers for the Monster Bingo can be purchased at bingo next week.

 

Weekly Lotto

Results from Sunday 8th February

The numbers drawn were 6-13-21-23. There was no Jackpot winner. We had six match three winners who received €25 each. They were Patricia La Cumber, Rose Gavin, Lionel Rabbitte, Martin Bracken, Danny & Nuala and Kian, Ryan and Katie. Next week’s Jackpot is €7,250 and the draw will be held in The GAA Centre on Sunday 15th February.

Blood Donation Clinic

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will have their blood donation clinic in the GAA Centre on Tuesday 17th of February from 3pm – 5pm and from 7pm to 9.30pm
