Clara GAA Notes

Christy Geoghegan RIP

It was with great sadness on Wednesday last, that we laid to rest a great clubman, Christy Geoghegan. As a player, a mentor and a supporter, Christy was synonymous with Clara GAA club for most of his life. A hurling man at heart, Christy represented the club at every level and was always proud to wear the black and white. His affiliation with the club did not end when he hung up his boots however as he rarely missed an opportunity to support his club our his county, no matter how far he had to travel and win, lose or draw, you could count on Christy to give a few verses of a song after all the post match analysis was done. Christy will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by our club and the greater GAA community as he was so well known.

Clara GAA club extends its deepest sympathies to his family and many friends
