Junior A Hurling Championship

Clara secured their quarter final place when we defeated our near neighbours Ballinamere on a scoreline of 4 – 12 to 1 – 10, played in Clara last Friday evening.  When Joey Deehan goaled from a penalty after three minutes, we never looked back and after playing some excellent hurling we led at halftime on a scoreline of 2-8 to 0-6.  Ballinamere came more into the game in the second half,but we finished the stronger, and deserved our eleven points victory.  With three wins from three games we now head the group and are sure of a quarter final place.

Golf Classic

Clara GAA Golf Classic will take place Friday 11^th July. The format will be a 3 ball scramble, with a BBQ at the 12^thtee. The price is €30 per person or €90 per team. The times are 1pm to 5pm on Friday 11^th July and 8am – 10.30am on Saturday 12^th July. The committee for the golf classic is: Brian Gavin, Kevin Roe, Michael Mullen, John Naughton, Paul Stewart, Aaron Baggot, Padraig O’Meara and Tom Naughton. Please contact any of the above to book a tee time.

WEEKLY CLUB LOTTO

Lotto results 14/06/14 Numbers drawn were 12-21-22-27. There was no winner of the Jackpot. We had 2 match 3’s who will receive €75 each. These were: Liz & Trish Fleming and Marie Fitzpatrick. Next week’s draw is for €2,150 and takes place in Dolan’s at 10pm on Saturday night. Tickets are available from committee members and in premises throughout the town priced at €1.50. All support greatly appreciated.

U16 Football Championship

The first round of the U16 football championship takes place next Monday evening when we take on Kilcormac/Killoughey in Kilcormac at 7.30pm. This is a dedicated bunch of players and the club would like to wish them the best of luck. All support would be greatly appreciated next Monday.
