Division 2 Football League

Clara lost to Rhode in the division 3 football league in Clara on Sunday on a score line of 2-5 to 0-7. The Clara team was: Wayne Flanagan, Gavin Carroll, Alan Gavin, James Fleming, Callam Stewart, Bob Mitchell, Andrew Cushen, Liam Monaghan, Willy Fleming, Aaron Ngo, Joey Deehan, Michael Mitchell, Sam Rickard, Stephen O’Brien and Tom Naughton. WEEKLY CLUB LOTTO

Lotto results 22/02/14 Numbers drawn were 8-11-12-15. There was no winner of the Jackpot this week. There were 8 match 3 winners and they were E McCloskey x2, R Dignam, M Murray, Dorothy & Darren, P Rabbitte, D Dolan and T Cooper who receive €20 each, well done. Next week’s draw is for €5,750 and takes place in Baggots at 10pm on Saturday night. Tickets are available from committee members and in premises throughout the town priced at €1.50. All support greatly appreciated.

Quiz Night                                                                                                                                             There will be a quiz night on the 28^th March in The Mill. The cost is €20 per table of 4.

Registration Night

There will be a registration night held on Wednesday 5^th March at 7pm for all members. Underage mentors will be in attendance on the night so that players and parents will know who is over the different age groups. All parents and children are welcome to join our club for 2014. There will be tea/coffee and refreshments available for all parents and children on the night.

National Draw

There is a National Draw been run by the GAA to help clubs raise funds.  All tickets sold will go to Clara GAA club which is a big boost and help to the club in the current financial climate. In addition to the prizes listed below the club will be holding an internal draw for anyone who buys a ticket off Clara GAA. There will be 4 prizes of €50. The price of a ticket for this draw is€10. The draw will take place on St. Patricks Day in Croke Park at the All Ireland Club Finals. Monster Bingo

Clara GAA will be hosting a Monster Bingo on Sunday 2^nd March at 8.15pm. There will be €4,500 in prize money given out on the night.

Offaly minor footballers

The club would like to congratulate offaly on reaching the minor football league final after a very good 1-9 to 1-8 victory over cork and now go on to meet Longford next weekend in the final. Well done to our two representatives on this team Colm Doyle and Alan Gavin.
