CLARA GAA ANNOUNCEMENT
At last years AGM our chairman, Michael Sheridan announced he would be stepping down at the end of the year and now that time is upon us. I know that a lot of people will write and talk about all the brilliant memories of Michaels time as chairman and indeed it will be a difficult transition for all the GAA and Michaels family. As PRO ive had to work closely with Michael this year in all aspects of the role and i would personally like to thank him for making me feel very welcome in the club and being a huge inspiration to all in his unbelievable hard work, love of the GAA and the pride in which he held the post of club chairman. There will be an appreciation night held in Michaels honour in the GAA Social Centre on December 28th. More details will be posted in due course.

Our AGM date has now been fixed for Monday January 6th for an 8pm start in the convent. All members are welcome to attend and we look forward to seeing you there.
WEEKLY CLUB LOTTO
Lotto results 7/12/13- Numbers drawn were 4,14,16,18. There was no winner of the Jackpot this week but 1 matched 3, who was Bridie Scully from The Green and she wins €150 well done. .Next weeks draw is for €4,100 and takes place in The Mill at 10pm. Tickets are available from committee members and in premises throughout the town priced at €1.50. All support greatly appreciated.

CLARA GAA SUPPORTER 2014 WINDOW STICKER
Our official 2014 supporter window stickers are now available to purchase from any committee member. Ideal for the car or house/business window, it gives us the chance to show we are behind our club all year long. It costs €10 and all funds raised will go to development of our teams. It proudly displays our black and white crest with the words 2014 SUPPORTER, the must have tag for all of Clara GAA. When will you get yours?? .
MONSTER BINGO
On the anniversary of our clubs founding December 15th we will be hosting an extra special monster bingo in the GAA Social Centre with €4,500 in prize money and extra special prizes on the night.
CLARA GAA DISCO
On Saturday December 21st we will be having 2 discos in the social centre, our first one is for under 11s from 6pm to 8pm and our second disco is for for over 12s and runs from 8.30 to 11.30. It is well supervised and a great safe place for your child to socialise, Eamon and Joe will run the sweet shop as usual and no children will be allowed leave the hall once they arrive. Cost of entry is €5. DJ Killian ,with help from Alex Roe and Eoin Dunne, will be in control of the music.
Every person who attends the monster bingo, a disco or buys a supporters sticker between now and December 21st will be put into a draw to win one of 2 autographed One Direction CDs. Both copies are signed by all members of the band so it would make an ideal surprise present for Christmas. Please tell your friends about this promotion as we would love to see genuine fans get their hands on the CDs. Best of luck and thanks again for your continued support.
ARD SCOIL CHIARIAN JUVENILE FOOTBALL
There was a very entertaining U16 juvenile football match played last Monday in Pairc Brid Clara which saw Ard Scoil Chiarian against Edenderry Oaklands, with the Clara lads winning by 3 points. Although a little rusty, both teams played some attractive football with plenty of high quality scoring. ASC are coached by Larry Lynam and Offaly footballer of the year, Paul McConway who has recently taken up a teaching position at the school. Oaklands were coached by hurler of the year Conor Mahon (this must be a first) and we would like to wish both men congratulations and have a very enjoyable night at the upcoming awards.
U8 INDOOR HURLING
The 2013 U8 hurlers are currently in the middle of a 6 week indoor hurling programme. The emphasis is on Agility, Balance and Co-ordination using a special 18” hurl which also encourages a wristy hurler. The U8 coaches are William Flynn, David Gavin and Ivan Melia. Training for the 2014 U8 indoor hurling league will start in Tues Jan 21st and Tues 28th with the league starting on Feb 4th for the Tom Naughton, Tommy Dolan and Ber Cowen Cups. PRE-EARLY SPRING CLEAN OUT

U6 INDOOR FOOTBALL
Clara GAA has had nearly 30 boys in the GAA Social Centre each Thursday night for basic Fun Football to get them used to the ball in hand. Its been a great experience for all the mentors and families and its really encouraging to see so many people involved. Many thanks to Brendan Clerkin, Edward Cullen, Scott Weldon, Lorcan Cowen , Jessie O’ Connor, Aodhan Moran and Frances Cullen for all your valued help.
Due to the schools Christmas play there will be no indoor football this Thursday December 12th, it will be moved to Saturday 14th for one week only from 12pm to 2pm. Parents will be text their time slot but please let others know.
