CLARA GAA AGM

It has been confirmed that our AGM will take place on Monday November 25th in the convent at 8pm. All members are welcome to attend and we ask if anybody would like to join our committee or knows of anybody who would like to get involved in coaching a team or fundraising to use these next 3 weeks to think about how you can help Clara GAA. We look forward to seeing you there.
U21 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

We played Shannon Gaels on Saturday afternoon in Pairc Phrionsias in the county quarter final and came out on top in a fiercely contested game on a scoreline of 2-7 to 0-10. Well done to management and players and we await the semi final draw where we hope to see great support for this young team.
UNDER 6 FOOTBALL NURSERY

Clara GAA will be running an indoors football nursery for all boys who have started school beginning in The Star on Thursday November 7th. We will run this for the 7 weeks leading up to Christmas. As we know little boys get tired after a long day in school so we will be starting early at 6pm. We hope to continue to work on the basic skills we taught during the summer but with the use of the hall we can focus more on catching and handpass. We will be holding an information night on Wednesday 30th October in The Star between 6pm and 7pm, the cost is €10 for the seven week session then €2 per night. Anybody requiring more information can contact me on 0863855250. We had 27 boys registered for the summer so if the same numbers apply we will have 2 time slots each Thursday. New members welcome as always.
There has been a huge uptake on places already so we are looking forward to the opening night.

PREDICTION CARDS

We are awaiting the final event to be completed and its very close at the top between 3 people. We hope to be able to announce the winners next week and many thanks to Kevin Roe for monitoring and keeping the scores throughout the year, its been a great bit of craic for us to have an interest in other sports we may not normally watch. This is a fundraiser we will be running again in the new year and thanks once again to all who participated.

HALLOWEEN TEENAGE DISCO

On Wednesday the 30th of October we will be running a teenage disco in the star from 8pm to 11.30pm. This will be a fancy dress event with prizes going to the best costumes. Admission is €5 and the great Joe and Eamon will be running their tuck shop as normal. Fully supervised by committee members.
