“Scoil Samhradh”
Classes in Tin Whistle, Fiddle, Banjo, and Accordion will be taking place in 8th and 9th of July in Tubber Community Hall. For Children under 12 years. Fee €20 per child. Musical interments are not provided. Classes will run from 10am to 3pm in both days, lunch not included. Contact Bernadette Moran on 085 7874380 to confirm a place or for more information.
The Leinster Fleadh will take place in Edenderry this year, from the 6th to the 14th of July. An open Sean Nos dancing competition will take place in the All Ireland Fleadh in Derry on Sunday 18th of August this year, closing date for entries are July 1st 2013.
Seisiún 2013, which takes place in Tubber Community Hall starting from July 1st,Monday Nights. The Comhaltas show entertains its audiences with a variety Irish traditional music, song and dance which is followed by light refreshments tea and scones. The Seisiún concludes with an informal traditional session where the visitors are encouraged to participate if they so wish – during this part of the night audiences join in dances such as the Siege of Ennis and the Walls of Limerick and a song or two. Visiting artists are also welcome to perform.
