WEEKLY CLUB LOTTO

Lotto results 18/5/13- there was no winner of the weekly draw. Numbers drawn were 14,20,22,25. One matched 3, The Fleming Girls from the Green who win 150 euro. Next weeks draw is for 5,150 euro and would be a nice few euro for the winner so best of luck to all. The draw will take place in Baggots at 10pm and tickets are 1.50, available from all committee members. Support very much appreciated

DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Clara lost to Shamrocks in Mucklagh on Saturday evening on a score line of 2-12 to 1-8 in the Division 1 Football League. The Clara team was: Wayne Flanagan, Bobby Mitchell, David Ledwith, Gavin Dolan, Carl Stewart, Andrew Cushen, Liam Monaghan, John Ledwith(0-1), Lorcan Hiney, Stephen O’Brien(0-2), Stephen Deehan, Callum Stewart, Padraig Moran, Barry Cushen(1-1) and Thomas Deehan(0-4,0-2frees) . CLARA GAA MONSTER BINGO

Thanks to all who supported our bingo in the social centre last Sunday night. An important part of our fundraising efforts is always greatly supported so thanks to all, and a special thanks to all the volunteers who give up their Sunday evenings, we could not do it without you.

CLARA GAA GATHERING EVENTS

The Gathering events will take place on the June Bank Holiday Weekend with 3 days of events.

Saturday the 1st

As a part of our Gathering event being held on the June bank holiday weekend. Clara GAA club are organising a trip to Croke Park on Saturday 1st June to watch Offaly v Kildare in the Leinster Senior football championship quarter final. A bus departs from Clara GAA centre at 2.30. All members of all ages are welcome to travel. Plenty of adult supervision will be provided.

Sunday the 2nd

The annual La na Club will be held in Pairc Phrionsias. This is a family fun day with events for all to take part in and also our footballers and hurlers playing some exhibition games. There will be food available and refreshments. Also the naming of our hurling wall will take place . “The Donal O’Coinin Hurling Wall”
The day will include mixed under 8, 10 and 12 football games between the girls and boys teams, traditional music and dj at the convent, different fun themed skill events, facepainters and the GAA games on RTE will be shown live on TV in the convent to enjoy. This an opportunity to enjoy the great facilities at our grounds and we look forward to seeing you there.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

Monday the 3rd

*Clara GAA golf classic 2013**

As a finale to our 3 day gathering event on the June bank holiday weekend. Clara GAA club are holding a golf classic in Esker Hills golf club on bank holiday Monday 3rd June. It will be a 3 ball scramble at a cost of €90 per team. Refreshments and a bbq will be provided on the 12th hole. It promises to be a great days golf with plenty of worthwhile prizes.

BLOOD DONOR CLINIC

On Monday June 10th the Irish Blood Transfusion Service will make their quarterly visit to the GAA Social Centre. We ask that those who are able to attend make use of this facility. If you are not a blood donor already, please think about coming along to this clinic. If you are already a donor or have given before, thank you, and if you can, come again. Bring a friend, all donors welcome, new and old.

We look like to most sincerely thank all who supported our quiz night last Friday in The Mill. There was a great turn out and fun was had by all. We now can purchase a kit for our u8 girls team so thanks again.

U14 CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINAL

Our u14 girls played their semi final v Naomh Maloise last Saturday in Pairc Phrionsias and were excellent. The game ended in a draw with Clara finishing much stronger and maybe a couple more minutes may have seen Clara as the winners but its on to a replay and we ask that you check the Clara LGFC Facebook page for date time and venue updates as this incredible group of girls deserve your support, and believe me, you will not get better entertainment anywhere in the country.
