WEEKLY CLUB LOTTO
Weekly Lotto 27/4/13 -There was no winner of the weekly club Lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 5, 7, 18, 20. There were 3 match 3 winners, Allen and Ash, Mannions New Road, Mary Touhey and Ann McGuinness who all win 50 euro each. Next weeks draw takes place in Docs at 10pm on Saturday night and the Jackpot is €4,550. Thanks to all who support our lotto and thanks to all our ticket sellers.
MINOR HURLING LEAGUE
Clara defeated Tullamore on Wednesday night last in Tullamore in the 1st round of the minor hurling league. Playing some very good hurling, Clara went in at half time leading on a score line of 3-8 to 1-3. They continued to play good hurling in the second half running out convincing winners on a score line of 4-13 to 2-6. The Clara team and scorers was: Darren Fleming, Ryan Kelly, Martin Fleming, Niall Keenan, Dermot Doolin, Colm Doyle(0-1), Callium Egan, Alan Gavin(0-2), Adam Dolan(0-1), Stephen Buckley(1-4, 0-2frees), Leon Egan(1-0), David Newman(Capt)(1-0), Seamus O’Brien(0-2), Carl Stewart(0-2) and Glen Cunningham(0-1). Subs: Lorcan Cowan(1-0) for A Gavin, Liam Doyle for G Cunningham, Alex Roe for C Egan and Dylan O’Keefe for D Newman
DIVISION 3 HURLING LEAGUE
Clara lost to Crinkle on Sunday last on a score line of 0-18 to 0-8 in Clara. The Clara team was: Darren Fleming, Martin Fleming, James Fleming, Brian Minnock, Liam Monaghan, John Ledwith, Shane Grennan, Lorcan Hiney, Barry Cushen(0-5, 0-3frees), David Newman(0-1), Sean Nolan, Kevin Meehan(0-2), Mark Fallon, Stephen O’Brien and Willie Byrne. Subs: Liam Doyle for K Meehan, Kevin Meehan for M Fallon and Lorcan Cowan for W Byrne
CLARA BALLAD GROUP
On Saturday last our ballad group headed up to Derry to represent our GAA club and our town in the All-Ireland Finals, as usual they performed incredibly well but lost out to their friends from Roscommon. Clara GAA would like to sincerely thank Paul Scanlon, John Scanlon, Ashling Cornally,Maura Eivers and Collette Rabbitte for the commitment and the pride they have brought to our town over the last number of years.
