U21 Football Championship
Clara won the 1st round of the U21 football championship when we defeated Shamrocks last Sunday in Clara on a score line of 1-9 to 0-7. The Clara team and scorers were: Wayne Flanagan, Gavin Carroll, Robert Mitchell, Evan O’Meara, Carl Stewart(0-2), Robert McDonagh, Richie Slammon, John Flattery, Liam Monaghan, Aaron Ngo(0-1), Barry Cushen (0-4, 0-2frees), Callum Stewart(0-1), Sam Rickard, Stephen O’Brien(0-1) and Lee Scanlon(1-0). Subs: Luke Kelly for L Scanlon and Alan Gavin for R Slammon.
Senior Scór County Final
The Senior Scór County Final will be held in Clara GAA Centre this coming Saturday 2nd March at 7pm. Clara will be represented in Solo Singing, Ballad Group and Table Quiz. Your support would be much appreciated
U8 INDOOR HURLING FINALS
All roads lead to the Clara GAA social centre next Fri 1st March for the Clara U8 indoor hurling finals. The C final will be the first game of the night for the Ber Cowen Cup and will throw in at 7pm sharp. The second game will be the B final at 7.20 for the Tommy Dolan Cup and the A final for the Tom Naughton Cup will throw in at 7.40pm and with a full house expected it should be a great experience for all our young players. The presentation will follow immediately and at this stage we would like to thank the Clara GAA for all their support and a special thanks to our resident referee Seamus Fleming.
Adult Football Training Fund 2013
The Adult Footballers are holding a Table Quiz on Friday 15th March in Baggots at 9.30pm. Teams of 4 will cost €20. If you are interested in entering a team please contact Padraig O’Meara, PJ Rickard or John Buckley. You can also contribute to the fund by sponsoring a team, a prize or the quiz itself. (Players are also contributing to the fund weekly)
This year, the Adult Footballers are committed to strengthening links with our underage structure. As part of this, members of the Senior / Junior and U 21 football teams will attend underage training sessions and championship matches to help Coaches and Mentors, and support tomorrows Senior Players.
