Intermediate Hurling Championship

Clara earned their first brace of points in this year’s championship with a very hard fought victory over Ballinamere last Sunday evening in Killeigh on a score line of 1-13 to 1-11. Playing with a strong wind in the first half we lead by 1-7 to 0-5 at half time, but Ballinamere with the wind behind them in the second half drew level with ten minutes remaining but we managed to score the last couple of points to earn a well deserved victory. Minor Football Championship

Clara lost their first game in this year’s Minor Championship when we were beaten by Ferbane on a score line of 3-12 to 1-10. Trailing by 3-6 to 0-3, we put in a much improved second half performance but Ferbane always had the upper hand. Team: Mark Fallon, Colin Gavin, Gavin Carroll, Dermot Doolin, Paul Mulholland(0-1), Carl Stewart, Alan Gavin, Adam Scanlon(0-4), Callum Stewart(0-2), Evan Dignam, Gavin Fleming, Stephen Handy(0-1), Nigel Tobella, Sam Rickard(1-2) and Shane Bracken. Walkers

People walking their dog on the GAA Grounds are asked due to Health and Safety that no dogs are allowed on the playing pitches. Pathways to be used only. They must have a restricted or short lead. Thank you for your co-operation

Opening Day Programme

Anybody wishing to purchase a souvenir programme for the opening day of the new pitch please contact any member of the committee. The price of a programme is 3 Euro plus postage.

Weekly Club Lotto

Weekly Lotto 21/07/2012 -There was no winner of the weekly club Lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 6-9-18-23. There were 9 match 3 winners. They were Lily & Mick Keating, Joe McGrath, Niall Rooney, Leslie Buckley, Paddy Rushe, May Condron, Tony Cleary, Sean Newman and Anthony Tuite (jnr). Next weeks lotto takes place in Carey’s and the Jackpot is €2750. Thanks to all who support our lotto and thanks to all our ticket sellers.

Monster Bingo

Clara will be holding a Monster Bingo on Sunday 5th August in the GAA Centre. The starting time is 8.15pm
