Brosna CCE

Wednesday night last saw the third week of the Brosna CCÉ Comhaltas Seisiún.  Which takes place in Tubber Community Hall, Tubber,  County Offaly.

This week saw the Seisiún start with Irish dancing  to the music of the Reel set, Sean Nós Dancing and Set Dancing  followed.  The Programme continued with a song from one of the many singers which were present on the night, next on the programme was a Harp on which we heard a solo, the branch has two harp players one which will feature each week.  Then next on to “the circle of tunes” which saw the musicians play tunes together and doing solos, back to the dancing,  More singing, Story Telling music and Set Dancing. Finishing the first half of the show with the brush dancers.

Then a cup of tea which the ladies had prepared with the scones, cakes and biscuits.

The second half of the show saw loads of audience participation including the Seigh of Ennis, songs, tunes and more dancing.  The show finished with the Walls of Limerick.  Make a date on next Wednesday at 8.30, in the Community Hall Tubber its’ well worth a visit for the music, craic, dance, and story telling.
