Intermediate Hurling Championship

Clara played Coolderry on Saturday last and lost on a score line of 2-7 to 0-6. The Clara team was: Pa Smith, James Fleming, Jonathon O’Brien, Liam Monoghan, Wesley Coyne, John Ledwith, Stephen O’Brien, Lorcan Hiney, Barry Cushen(0-1), Chris Flanagan(0-1), Sean Nolan(0-1), Darren Scanlon(0-2), Alan Cronin, Wayne Flanagan, Brendan Buckley(0-1). Subs: Eoin Wyer for Sean Nolan, Kevin Meehan for Chris Flanagan and Shane Grennan for Wesley Coyne

Opening Day

Clara GAA will be holding the official opening of our new pitch in Kilcoursey on Sunday 20^th May 2012. The main event on the day will be a hurling challenge match between Offaly and the reigning All Ireland Champions Kilkenny. The official opening will be performed by the incoming president of the GAA Liam O’Neill. The will be a host of other activities held throughout the day to cater for all ages.

A programme will be prepared for the day. If you wish to be a sponsor please contact any member of the committee. The cost is 20Euro.

Walkers

Walkers please note that the flood lights will be turned on between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on a Tuesday and Thursday evening

Weekly Club Lotto

Weekly Lotto 12/05/2012 -There was no winner of the weekly club Lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 10-11-21-22. There were 5 match 3’s. They were: Sean Taylor, Monica & Rota, Frances Sheridan, Cecelina Gavigan and Caroline Guinan. Next weeks lotto takes place in Baggots and the Jackpot is €3950. Thanks to all who support our lotto and thanks to all our ticket sellers.

Work Nights

Our development of the GAA Grounds in Kilcoursey is nearing completion. There are some small jobs still to be done, i.e. Painting etc. Volunteers who have some time to spare are asked to be in the Convent every evening from 6.30pm to 9pm

Senior Football Championship

Clara play Ballycumber in Tubber in the fisrt round of the championship on Friday evening at 7pm.
