Tullamore Toastmasters Speech Evaluation Competition

Members from the Tullamore Toastmasters club enjoyed an excellent night of topics followed by an inspiring speech from guest speaker Mark Bastow at last Thursdays meeting. Mark’s speech entitled ‘A recipe’ consisted of fascinating observations and tips on how to manage our time more effectively.

Topicsmaster Kathleen Power tested Toastmasters members’ cinematic knowledge with various ‘movie titles’ featuring in the topics throughout the night.

The main focus of the night was the speech evaluation competition with contenders Phil Newton, Claire O’Brien and Ciara Kinnarney. All contenders did a great job evaluating Mark Bastows speech.  Claire O’Brien won the competition giving a clear and encouraging well-articulated evaluation. Claire will be representing Tullamore Toastmasters club in the Area competition which will be held on 15 April in the Tullamore Court Hotel at 3pm.

Our next Toastmasters meeting takes place in the Tullamore  Court Hotel this Thursday 5th April at 8:30. As always the Tullamore Toastmasters club welcomes new members.
