LOTTO

The numbers drawn in Monday [23RD April 2012] night’s Lotto were 06 12 23 29. There was no Jackpot Winner of €2,800 and 4 Match 3 Winners [Kathleen Hunt C/O Geashill P/O; Mary O’Keefe C/O Denis Sheil; Tom & Joe C/O Killeigh P/O; Dolores Lee C/O Killeigh P/O]  [€50 Each]. Next week’s draw will take place in Hamilton’s, Geashill  on TUESDAY 08th May  2012.

 

DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL LEAGUE

It was another defeat for Raheen Intermediate Footballers last Saturday evening in the Div 1 League as they came out on the wrong side of a 1-10 to 0-03 scoreline against neighboursWalshIslandinWalshIsland. The first half was a tight affair and 3 points for Raheen from Richie Reynolds put Raheen well in contention asWalshIslandled by just 0-05 to 0-03 at the break. In the second half Raheen unfortunately could not add to their account and a further 1-05 forWalshIslandmade sure of the win for them.

DIVISION 4 FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Raheen Junior Footballers left it late but just about managed to salvage a draw against Walsh Island in the Div 4 League last Sunday morning in Walsh Island on a scoreline of 0-12 to 2-06. Playing against the gale force wind in the first half Raheen were well in it and at the break WalshIslandled by just a goal 1-05 to 0-05. Raheen came out in the second half and put over 3 points inside the 10 first 10 mins to get level but then Walsh Island got through to score their second goal followed by a point to turn the game back in their favour. Raheen hit back with 2 points over the next 15 mins to keep themselves in it. As the game went into stoppage time Walsh Island still held a 2 point lead but then Raheen won 2 frees both of which were put over by Liam Gorman pulled it out of the fire, the second of which also saw the dismissal of Walsh Island’s Joe Nolan on a straight red for dissent.

DIVISION 3 HURLING LEAGUE

Raheen Hurlers continue their Div 3 League campaign by taking on Brosna Gaels in Geashill next Monday (07th May) @ 3:00pm. All support would be appreciated.

 

MEMBERSHIP

Members are asked to renew their membership as soon as possible. This year there are 2 membership options. Option 1 includes entry in our weekly club lotto draw and Subscriptions are Playing Members €120, Students/ OAP’s & Non Playing Members €110. Option 2 is the same as previous years and Subscriptions are Playing Members €30, Students/ OAP’s €15 & Non Playing Members €20. Payments can be given to Membership Officers Shane Carroll, Padraig Direen or Craig O’Halloran. New members are very welcome.
