Ballycumber GAA Alcohol & Substance Abuse Policy Launch

The GAA’s Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) programme, a joint initiative with the HSE, aims to promote healthy life-choices by reducing the harm caused by the misuse of alcohol and other drugs. Colin O’Regan, the ASAP national co-ordinator, together with Sean Hackett the Ballycumber GAA ASAP Officer & Liam Hackett, Offaly ASAP Officer, officially lauched the Ballycumber GAA ASAP policy on Friday last in Ballycumber. Ballycumber are the first Offaly club to launch their ASAP policy. Colin O’Regan gave a very informative and interesting presentation on the effects of alcohal on the proformance of players and the effects of alcohol in relation to injuries.
