G.A.A CLUB NOTES

LOTTO

The numbers drawn in Tuesday [19th March 2012] night’s Lotto were 02 07 08 14. There was 1 Jackpot Winner of €6,200 [Pauric O’Rourke – Geashill C/O Geashill P/O] and 3 Match 3 Winners [Liam Boland Snr C/O Liam Boland; Tomas Feery C/O Tom Feery; Colm Duffy C/O Joe Cunningham] [€70 Each]. Next week’s draw will take place in Doyle’s, Killeigh on Monday 02nd April 2012.

 

DONAL BOLTON MEMORIAL 7 A SIDE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

The inaugural Donal Bolton Memorial 7 a Side Football Tournament will take place on Easter Monday (09th April) in the GAA Field, Geashill beginning at 12 Noon. The tournament has been set up by the Bolton Family and Raheen GAA to honour the memory of Donal Bolton who represented the club in both football and hurling and who died tragically 2 years ago. All Raheen players and playing members (Both Footballers and Hurlers) are urged to come along and take part in what will be a fun and enjoyable tournament with plenty of craic for all involved. Best of Luck to all involved.

 

DIVISION 4 FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Raheen Junior Footballers gained the first win for the club this year as they came out on top against Doon inDoonlast Sunday evening on a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-04 in their Div 4 League encounter. The game was balanced at 2 points apiece when 2 goals within a minute midway through the first half effectively decided the outcome the first from Garrett Garry and second from Noel Gorman. Both sides added another point before the break so at half time Raheen led 2-04 to 0-03. Raheen eased their way through the second half to claim the win as they added another 6 points toDoon’s 1.

DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Raheen Intermediate Footballers continue their Div 1 League campaign as they take on Tulbber at home in Geashill this Sunday evening (01st April) @ 6pm.  All support would be appreciated.

 

MEMBERSHIP

Members are asked to renew their membership as soon as possible. This year there are 2 membership options. Option 1 includes entry in our weekly club lotto draw and Subscriptions are Playing Members €120, Students/ OAP’s & Non Playing Members €110. Option 2 is the same as previous years and Subscriptions are Playing Members €30, Students/ OAP’s €15 & Non Playing Members €20. Payments can be given to Membership Officers Shane Carroll, Padraig Direen or Craig O’Halloran. New members are very welcome.
