Clara GAA Club notes 6th Dec

Clara Handball

A county handball tournament was held in Clara last Saturday morning with teams from Clara, Crinkle and Rhode taking part in U12/U13/U14/U15 singles and doubles. The Clara team was Mark Newman, Conor Egan, Ciaran Doyle, Josh McCloskey, Colm Doyle and was managed by Enda McCloskey. Well done to the lads and especially to Enda who organised refreshments for the travelling teams.

Ard Scoil Chiarain Junior Hurling

Ard Scoils junior hurlers had an impressive win against Pipers College, Naas last Thursday at a very well prepared Portarlington pitch. Under the management of Brian Gavin, Larry Mocklar and James Fleming. The Clara boys got off to a great start aided by a strong breeze and continued to out hurl the Kildare lads in the second half and now look forward to a Leinster final. This is a huge bonus as it is the first time in years for the school to enter a hurling team. Well done lads!!! The panel was Darren Fleming, Luke Dignam, Gavin Carroll, Carl Stewart, Colm Doyle, Leon Egan, Dermot Doolan, David Newman, Alan Gavin, Steven Buckley, Martin Fleming, Kevin O’Meara, Seamus O’Brien, Sean O’Brien, Ryan Kelly, Jamie Monaghan, Daryl O’Brien and Ciaran Kinahan.

Weekly Club Lotto

Weekly Lotto 03/12/2011-There was no winner of the weekly club Lotto jackpot. The winning numbers were 1,11,22,26. There were 6 match three winners. They were Sean McCaffrey, Lisa Power, David Gavin, Sadie Delaney, Mary Clancy and Catherine Buckley. Next weeks lotto takes place in Docs and the Jackpot is €6950. Thanks to all who support our lotto and thanks to all our ticket sellers.

Ard Scoil Chiarain Senior footballers lost to Athboy on Monday on a score line of 7-7 to 0-7.
