Tullamore Toastmasters club notes 21st Nov

Members from the Tullamore Toastmasters club enjoyed an excellent night of great topics, speeches and laughs at last Thursdays meeting. Topicsmaster Pauline Needham took an alternative approach to topics by handing out an envelope concealing a newspaper cut-out photograph. Toastmasters members welcomed the different slant on topics and as it offered the flexibility to speak amenably on their own interpretation of the photograph.

Well done to Ciara Kinnarney who completed her second speech entitled “The evolution of dance” and to Phil Newton for her speech entitled “Preparing for 2012”. Both speakers did a fantastic job of entertaining and engaging fellow Toasmasters who attended the meeting.

Our next Toastmasters meeting takes place in the Tullamore Court Hotel this Thursday 24th November at 8:30. If you are thinking of joining Toastmasters in the New Year we would like to invite you to come along to one of our meetings before we finish for the Christmas break. If you’re feeling apprehensive bring a friend along for support but don’t worry you wont be expected to speak on your first night! You’re guaranteed a warm and friendly reception along with a good few laughs from the humorous Tullamore club members.
