Presentation Night
There was a presentation made to Brian Gavin on Friday night at 10pm in Baggots. Also Brian is collecting his All Ireland medal for refereeing the 2011 All Ireland Hurling Final this Friday night at a function in Croke Park.
Bord Na Nóg AGM
The Bord Na Nóg AGM took place on Friday 18th November in GAA Headquarters (The Convent) at 8pm. The following committee was elected. Chairman: John Buckley, Vice Chairman: Roy Cronin, Secretary: Kevin Roe, Treasurer: Orla Dolan, PRO: Peter Sheridan, Committee: Michael Falsey, Derek Handy, Claire Moran, Ned Buckley, Tony Dalton, Garret Buckley
Clara GAA AGM
The Clara GAA AGM will take place on Monday 28th November in GAA Headquarters (The Convent) at 8pm. All members are asked to attend.
Bowling Tournament:
Clara G.A.A. Bord Na Nog are running a Bowling Tournament in the Cosmic Bowl Tullamore on Tuesday 29th November, Wednesday 30th November & Thursday 1st December, with the proceeds going to finance the underage teams next year.
The times available are as follows, Tuesday 8-9p.m. & 9-10p.m. Wednesday 7-8p.m, 8-9p.m. & 9-10p.m. Thursday 6-7p.m. 7-8p.m & 8-9p.m. Each team is guaranteed 2 games of bowling. The entry fee for teams of 4 bowlers is €80, with the best 3 scores to count. There is also a competition for Junior Players (Under 18) and the entry fee for teams of 4 bowlers is €40 with the best 3 scores to count.
There will be 6 team prizes including a prize for the best placed all ladies team. There will also be 2 prizes for the junior teams. Presentation of prizes will take place in Baggot’s Back Door Lounge, Clara on Thursday night 1st December 2011 at 10p.m. For further details and entry forms, please contact Kevin Roe 087 – 2238107 or any member of the committee.

Weekly Club Lotto
Weekly Lotto 19/11/2011-There was no winner of the weekly club Lotto jackpot. The winning numbers were 6-17-26-28. There were 4 match three winners. They were Brendan Heaton, Mai Cunningham, Ann Dowdall and Lorraine McCormack. Next weeks lotto takes place in Baggots and the Jackpot is €6650. Thanks to all who support our lotto and thanks to all our ticket sellers.
Ard Scoil Chiarain
Ard Scoil Chiarain Junior Football team beat Banagher on Tuesday last in Clara and won on a score line of 3-11 to 2-6. The Ard Scoil team was: Evan O’Meara, Alan Gavin, Leon Taylor, Kieran Hartnett, Colm Doyle, Carl Stewart, Dermot Doolin, Gavin Carroll, David Newman, Stephen Buckley (0-3), Luke Dignam (0-1), Kevin O’Meara (1-1), Seamus O’Brien (0-1), Martin Fleming (0-4, 0-3Frees), Jamie Monaghan. Sub: Darren Fleming (1-1) for J Monaghan.
They now play the quarter final this Thursday against tullamore college
