Brosna Gaels GAA Club Notes

Intermediate Championship:

The Intermediates had a good win over Coolderry in Banagher on Sunday evening, taking the points with a scoreline of Brosna Gaels 2-18, Coolderry 1-09. The starting 15 were: Conor Robbins, Trevor Phelan, Danny Kelleher, Jeffrey Cuskelly, Karl Daly, Chris McDonald (0-04), Lee Colgan, Sean Hackett, Des Egan, Jason Devery (0-02), Fergal Daly (0-03), Thomas Spain (0-04), Alan Lynam (0-02), Kevin Lynam (2-01), John Egan (0-02). Subsitutions: Barry Buckley for Fergal Daly, Glenn Halligan for Danny Kelleher, Alec Moony for Jason Devery. In their last group match Brosna Gaels play Ballyskenagh on Friday 26th August in Kilcormac at 7.30 pm

Junior A Championship:

The Junior A side played Belmont in Doon on Saturday evening. The final score was, Brosna Gaels 1-09, Belmont 2-14. The starting 15 were: Ger Spain, Ethan Keena, Stephan Keena, Aaron Daly, James Cantwell, Eoin Hennessy, Anthony Phelan, Eamon McCabe, Joe Higgins, Niall Quinn, Adrian Egan, Paul Kelly, Adrian Kelly, Micko Kelly, Gary Larkin. Subsitutions: Colin Daly for Niall Quinn, Killian Ryan for Micko Kelly, Andrew Buckley for Adrian Egan, Ben Wilson for James Cantwell. The Junior A side travel to play Kinnitty on Thursday 25th August at 7.30 pm

Minor

The minors travel to play Kinnity this week. On Tuesday 30th August they play Ferbane/Belmont in Ballycumber at 7.15 pm

Hurling for National School Children

Coaching takes place on the pitch in Doon on Monday evenings from 6:30pm, in Pullough on Wednesday evening from 5:30-6:30pm and in Ballycumber on Friday from 6:15 to 7:30pm.

U10

There will be an u10 blitz on Saturday 20th August in Banagher.

U8

Offaly Coaching are running u8 Astro turf hurling blitz on 15th, 22nd and 29th August in Ferbane from 6:30 to 8pm. Players are asked to wear their Brosna Gaels t-shirts, togs and socks.
