CLARA U14 HURLERS

Clara U14 hurlers travelled to Rath last Fri evening to play a very strong combination of Drumcullen & Clareen. The home side started well and soon had the ball in the Clara net. Clara settled in well and got into it with some lovely skillful play. The score at halftime was 1-5 to 0-6 but on the turnover the wind strenghened and was now in Claras face. Drumcullen & Clareen pulled ahead again with some excellent play from their midfield maestro, John Murray but the Clara lads dug deep to level the game with time up 1-7 to 0-10. However 2 pucks later with a strong breeze and it was in the back of the Clara net and with that, heartbreak for this young Clara team who had given a tremendous display over the hour. Clara Panel: Glen Cunningham, Ryan Kelly, Dermot Doolan, Denis Hackett, Luke Dignam, Dylan O’Keeffee, Colm Doyle, Steven Buckley, Calum Egan, David Falsey, Seamus O’Brien, Josh Fleming, Joshua McCluskey, Ciaran Doyle, Jonathon Hanamy, Alex Roe, Stuart Kelly, Mark Newman
