Leinster Club JHC Final: Drumcullen’s terrific season finally came to an end on Sunday when they were beaten by Kilkenny side John Locke’s in the Leinster Final. While things did not go their way on the day, it must not be forgotten that the team gained promotion from the Intermediate ranks and can now look forward to playing senior hurling again in 2011. On Sunday there was tremendous support for the team from within the parish and indeed from right across the county, all of which was greatly appreciated.
Gratitude is also due to all the volunteers who gave their time to help with the stewarding on the day and also the ladies who provided such superb catering which was greatly enjoyed by all.
Presentation Night: The presentation night will take place in the County Arms, Birr on March 5.
Membership: Membership rates will remain the same as last year.
Lotto: (January 15). Numbers drawn were 5, 14, 23, 29. There was no jackpot winner. One match three winner (Claire Guinan) received €150. Promoters Prize went to Peadar Nugent. Next week the Jackpot will be €6,250.
