Ferbane GAA Club notes for w/e 9th October

FERBANE/BELMONT MINOR CLUB

Commiserations to the Ferbane/Belmont minor footballers who fell just short against St Rynaghs in the county semi final last Saturday morning in Doon. A final score of 1-10 to 1-8 reflects what was a very tight, closely contested match in which a few crucial incidents made all the difference. Well done to the players on a good campaign, and the club would like to thank the management team for their hard work during the year. It’s been a great year for underage football in the club and the improvement at minor level bodes well for the bright future that lies ahead for so many young footballers in the club.

RACE NIGHT

Thanks to everyone who supported the club’s race night fundraiser in Hiney’s last Friday night. The night was a great success and that was down to all those who took part in the event, whether by sponsoring horses, being part of the racecard effort or simply coming down on the night and getting involved in the draw, the auction race and the tote activity.
