U6 & U8 FOOTBALL

The final U6 and U8 football training session took place on Saturday 25th September.  All training sessions were very well attended and the Under 8’s and Under 6’s were a great group of players both for their enthusiasm, their good humour as well as their excellent skill levels.  Members of the Clara Senior Football Team attended the final training session and helped with the football drills and also in the football game.  Afterwards all of the kids were presented with Certificates of Attendance by our Senior Football Captain Thomas Deehan and all received a goody bag.  A special word of thanks to our Football co-ordinator Robert Dunne for his support over the year and also to the Clara Bord na nOg committee.  A number of our Under 8 players will now move up to Under 10 football next year and we would like to wish them well and let them know that they will be sadly missed, These players have progressed well and should have an excellent foundation for the Under 10’s next season.  We hope that they continue to excel and grow in their football ability.

A very special word of thanks to Orla Dolan, and also to our mentors for their  dedication,  support and commitment on those early Saturday mornings since March, Siobhán Kelly, Peter Delaney, Tony Dalton, Ray Ryan, Billy O’Brien, Graham Guilfoyle, Declan Cushen, Enda Kennedy, Enda Dunne and Clair Moran.

Finally a word of thanks to the members of the Senior Football team who attended our final training sessions.
