Engineering Showcase 2018 Postponed Due To Severe Weather Forecast
The Mid West Limerick for Engineering Showcase 2018, which was to take place at Shannon Airport on Thursday March 1, has been postponed by one week until Thursday March 8, 2018.
Organisers of this free event, which offers secondary school students, guidance counsellors, parents and teachers a unique insight to the various engineering careers available in the Mid West, made the decision to move the showcase to next week in light of severe weather warnings nationally.
The decision was made in the interest of the safety of those travelling to the event.
Students and those with an interest or curiosity about a career in engineering will instead have the opportunity to meet more than 30 mid west companies (indigenous and multi national); view their most cutting edge technologies, witness demonstrations by their full time engineers and receive first hand information about this exciting and ever developing career path, on Thursday March 8, 2018.
Representatives from Limerick Institute of Technology, the University of Limerick, the Limerick Clare ETB will also be on hand to outline the various courses and routes to a career in engineering that are available to students, and provide information on interesting engineering careers in the Mid-West.
The event will now take place from 6pm to 9pm on March 8, 2018 at Shannon Airport.
