Digital Marketing Heavy Weights come to Cork
Amplify Digital Marketing Conference will take place at the Clayton Hotel, Silver Springs, Cork City on the 27th & 28th of July 2017. This will be the inaugural year for Amplify and will host hundreds of attendees from all areas of digital marketing.
Founded by Sarah Dineen, a young female entrepreneur and owner of Social Que digital marketing firm. The conference is centred on providing SMEs, local businesses and tech savvy digital marketers with valuable take-home skills. With speakers and masterclasses, the conference will provide a range of options; from introductory techniques for beginners to the most advanced digital marketing advice. The Digital Age is upon us, and it is an opportune time for Irish businesses to get involved in digital marketing. Aoife Dunne, Business School Manager echoes this;
‘The importance of digital marketing cannot be ignored, with 2 million Irish people checking Facebook every day, 1 in 4 on snapchat, and entire conversations now take place through emojis! Digital marketing is changing how people engage with the world and how we do businesses.’
Amplify Digital Marketing Conference hopes to engage with this burgeoning audience through a mix of brilliant home-grown talents and international heavy weights in the digital marketing arena. Ireland’s own Niall McGarry (Joe.ie), Niall Harbison (LovinDublin.com), Jamie White (Leading Social.com) and Suzanne Jackson (SoSueMe.ie), will take the stage with international speakers George Berskoski (Hailo), Steve Bartlett (Socialchain.com), and Melonie Dodaro (The Linkedin Code). In conjunction with this, the masterclasses will reinforce knowledge given by the speakers, presenting step by step guides to digital marketing techniques for all skill levels. For founder Sarah the masterclasses are as important as the speakers;
‘I found with other events I was going to network and hear the speakers, but I also wanted to up skill. The purpose of the masterclasses, ranging from beginners to advanced, is to allow each attendee to take something away that they can implement in their own business immediately.’
Sarah isn’t alone in identifying the importance of digital marketing for all size companies. IDA Ireland muses ‘Ireland has become a global technology hub’. Whilst it cannot be ignored that tech giants such as Google and Facebook are at the fore of the Digital Age in Ireland, SMEs are vital to Ireland’s tech culture. In the past number of years Ireland’s SME digital marketing sector has continuously grown. With events such as; the Irish Digital Media Awards, and the Sockies (The Social Media Awards) taking place in the coming months and on the back of a slew of successful digital marketing events it seems this sector shows no sign of stopping soon. Sarah Dineen notes;
‘Digital marketing is essential to every company no matter how big or small, but you must know how to make it work for you.’
The event will take place on the 27th & 28th of July in the Clayton Hotel, Silver Springs, Cork City. Tickets are on sale now.
