Irish Cancer Society’s Hosts Free Conference For Offaly Cancer Survivors
Anyone in Offaly who is living with cancer or who has been affected by a cancer diagnosis is invited to attend the Irish Cancer Society’s free conference for cancer survivors on Saturday 22nd of October at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin. The conference, entitled Living Well with Cancer aims to address the needs of cancer survivors across the country.
It is expected that 600 cancer survivors and people living with cancer will be in attendance and they will have an opportunity to get together and share information and support on all aspects of a cancer diagnosis, including treatment and aftercare.
The programme includes practical information on treatment advances, fertility issues, exercise and diet as well as dealing with the emotional and psychological effects of cancer. There will also be sessions for teenagers and young adults as well as healthcare professionals.
