Division 1 Football League

Clara played Edenderry on Friday night last in Clara. Trailing 0-10 to 1-03 at half time, we played better in the second half and ran out narrow 2 point winners on a score line of 2-14 to 1-15. The Clara team was: Alan Cronin, Gavin Carroll, John Flattery, Liam Monaghan, JJ Colsh (0-01), Thomas Deehan (0-01), Richie Slammon, Carl Stewart, Ross Brady, Alan Gavin, John Reynolds (0-02), Callum Stewart, Pa Smith (0-03, 0-02frees), Luke Kelly (1-2) and Aaron Ngo. Subs: Martin Fleming for L Monaghan, John O’Hara (0-02) for Callum Stewart, Scott Brady for A Gavin, Luke Dignam (1-03) for A Ngo, Keir Mannering for P Smith and John Ledwith for G Carroll.

Division 5 Football League

Clara played Tullamore on Saturday evening last and won on a score line of 2-13 to 0-09. The Clara team was: Alan Cronin, Michael Mitchell, John Flattery, Enda Dunne, Gavin Carroll, Richie Slammon (0-01), Keir Mannering, Leon Egan, Carl Stewart (0-03), Sean Nolan, JJ Colsh (1-01), Tony Dalton, Tom Naughton, Callum Stewart and John Reynolds (1-08, 0-03frees). Sub: Padraig Moran for T Naughton.

U14 Football Championship

Clara played DER Gaels on Friday eveing last in Clara and won on a score line of 0-14 to 2-03. The Clara panel was: Connor Cushen, Stephen Falsey, Dion Conroy, Aodhan Moran, Luke Kennedy, Thomas Devine, Adam McCloskey, Cormac Delaney, Jack Reynolds, Patrick Phelan, Alex Egan, Adam Grennan, Eoin Gavin, Adam Kelly, Kai Dunne, Josh Fitzpatrick, Rockie McDonagh, Liam Dignam, Connor Doyle, Stephen Roe Neil Robbins, Lee Tierney and Barry Egan.

Offaly U17 Hurling Team

Well done to Clara GAA club men Mark Newman and Cathal O’Meara who helped the Offaly U17 hurlers secure a place in the knockout stages of the Celtic Hurling League. Both players done themselves and the club proud in their 0-11 to 1-07 win over Dublin Clarke in Birr on Wednesday evening last.

Monster Bingo

Clara GAA club will be holding a Monster Bingo on Sunday 12^th June in the GAA Centre. All welcome.

Lotto Results               

The draw for the weekly club lotto took place on Sunday night last at Bingo. The numbers drawn were: 13-16-18-30. There was no winner of the jackpot. We had 1 match 3 who received €150 each. This was: Danny c/o Bunny’s.

Next weeks’ jackpot is €5300 and the draw will be held at Bingo on Sunday 12^th June..
