Clara travelled to Cappincur on Tuesday evening last to play Na Fianna in the final of the U14 Football Feile. We finally got off the mark through a Cormac Delaney free. 2 points followed for Na Fianna before Cormac got a point from play to leave the score 0-02 each after 10 minutes. A couple of chances went wide for Na Fianna, but then we went forward, won a free and Cormac sent it through the posts. Clara then got a break when Barry Egan sent a ball in from 20 yards and it found its way to the back of the net. Na Fianna got the next point and we led 1-03 to 0-03 after 20 minutes. Both teams then missed a couple of chances. With 5 minutes to go in the half, Na Fianna narrowed the gap with a point. They then scored another 1-01 without reply to go 1-05 to 1-03 entering injury time. Alex Egan got our final score of the half and we went in trailing on a score line of 1-05 to 1-04.
