Leinster Scór Sinsear

The Leinster final of Scór Sinsear took place today in Ballymore where the Clara Ballad Group were successful in an extremely tough category. They sang two beautiful ballads “Donegal Danny” and “Cavan Girl” in a very professional performance. They now go on to represent Clara, Offaly and Leinster in the All-Ireland Final on the 25th of April in City West, Dublin starting at 3pm.
On behalf of Clara GAA club i want to sincerely congratulate Paul Scanlon, John Scanlon, Ashling Cornally, Colette Rabbitte and Maura Eivers and their coach Nora Heneghan Kavanagh on another thoroughly deserved Leinster title.

Division 1 Football League
On Friday evening our senior footballers played out an entertaining game against our neighbours Tullamore in Pairc Phroinsias. Clara had the better of the opening exchanges and led at the break  by 1-05 to 0-3. But Tullamore started the second half better and closed the gap to two with 15 minutes to go. Clara then pushed on and found the scores they needed to see the game out and won on a score-line of Clara 2-10 Tullamore 0-8.

Under 16 Hurling League

Hard luck to our Under 16 hurlers who lost out in the Semi-Final of the Under 16 hurling league on Saturday. They were beaten on a score-line of Na Fianna 2-12 Clara 0-14

The numbers drawn were 6-7-21-28. There was no Jackpot winner. We had thirteen match three winners who received €15 each. They were Peter Mullins, Mai Cunningham, Chantal Rosney, Rory McCarthy, Michael Martin, Andy Boland, Andrew Mullen, Christy Rock, Nicola Minnock, Paul Flood, Courtney Touhey, Megane Glennon, John Fleming. Next week’s Jackpot is €8,300 and the draw will be held in The GAA Centre on Sunday 5^th of April.
