LOTTO
The numbers drawn in the Lotto draw which took place on Monday 09 February 2015 were 01 04 18 23. There was No Jackpot Winner of €6,600 and NO Match 3 Winners [Match 3 Prize Increased to €600 on Monday 16 Feb]. Next week’s draw will take place in Maunsell’s, Tullamore on Monday 23 Feb 2015.
DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Raheen Senior Footballers made a winning start on their return to Div 1 ranks as they came out comfortably on top against Ballycumber in their opening game of the new league campaign away in Ballycumber last Sunday morning on a scoreline of 2-12 to 1-06. Raheen starting with just the bare 15 took their time to settle in as the sides were tied on 2 points apiece midway through the first half. The remainder of the half saw Ballycumber pull clear and by half time they led 1-05 to 0-03. The second half was a complete different story as Raheen now playing with the wind turned it round completely scoring 6 points in a row to take the lead then on 16 mins Dylan Hyland’s shot in from midfield saw Declan Byrne go 1 on 1 with the keeper and he flicked it to the net for the opening goal. Raheen added 3 more points without reply before wrapping it up with the second goal on 24 mins blasted in by Danny McEvoy. Ballycumber’s only score in the second half came with a point in the final minute.
