Free Training for Jobseekers with the Irish Travel Agents Association
Jobseekers in search of a career in the Irish Travel Industry are invited to apply for Free Training with The Travel Professionals Skillnet and Irish Travel Agents Association.
The Travel Professionals Essential Skills Programme runs once every year and this year, applications must be in beforeThursday 12th February. The programme will begin on Monday 9th March, with twenty days of training followed by twenty days of work experience. In previous years approximately 75% of participants have gained full-time employment on completion of this training.
Pat Dawson, CEO of the ITAA said of the scheme; “Our members have indicated that there is currently a deficit of suitably trained job applicants within the Irish Travel Industry, we hope that by making free training available to jobseekers that we can provide highly skilled workers for the industry and help jobseekers find work in a great sector of employment.”
To be considered for a place on the Travel Professionals Essential Skills Programme applicants should; have a passion for travel, a desire to learn, strong people skills and most importantly, they must be a jobseeker.

The Irish Travel Agents Association represents Ireland’s travel industry and was founded in 1971.
