Offaly is ‘Wunderbar’ for German Tour Operators
Thirty-five of the top coach and group tour operators in Germany are visiting Clonmacnoise this week, as guests of Tourism Ireland.
They are here to attend a networking event with Irish tourism companies in Galway today (13 October), and to take part in a fact-finding visit of Ireland – to encourage them to include Ireland as a new destination in their 2015 programmes or to expand the Ireland content of their existing programmes.
Zoë Redmond, Tourism Ireland’s manager for Central Europe, said: “Tourism Ireland is delighted to bring these influential tour operators to Offaly and Ireland. Fact-finding visits like this are an important element of our overall promotional effort in Germany, providing an excellent opportunity to showcase the many things to see and do in Ireland to key travel decision-makers.
“Tourism Ireland is rolling out its autumn promotional campaign right now in Germany, targeting millions of potential holidaymakers for city breaks and rural holidays, highlighting what makes a holiday in Ireland unique and truly memorable. Our promotions include a major focus on the Wild Atlantic Way, as well as the great value and terrific things to see and do here – and these coach and group tour operators have now had the chance to experience this at first-hand.”
