Free Training for Jobseekers with the Irish Travel Agents Association
The Irish Travel Agents Association has announced that they have allocated a number of positions on their upcoming Travel Professionals Essential Skills Programme for jobseekers. The programme will begin on the 21st April, with twenty days of training and twenty days of work experience within a member company. In previous years participants have found that their employability was greatly enhanced after completing a course with the Travel Professionals Skillnet and many found employment within the sector shortly after.
Pat Dawson, CEO of the ITAA said of the scheme; “Our members have indicated that there is currently a deficit of suitably trained job applicants within the Irish Travel Industry, we hope that by making free training available to jobseekers that we can provide highly skilled workers for the industry and help jobseekers find work in a great sector of employment.”
To be considered for a place on the Travel Professionals Essential Skills Programme applicants should; have a passion for travel, a desire to learn, strong people skills and most importantly, they must be a jobseeker.
