G.A.A CLUB NOTES

U21 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP PRELIM ROUND
Na Fianna U21 Footballers interest in the Championship is over for another year as they were comprehensively beaten by neighbours St Vincents in the Preliminary Round last Sunday morning in Cappincur on a scoreline of 4-21 to 0-06. The sides were level 2 points apiece after 10 mins but then 2 goals win the space of 2 mins set St Vincents on their way and by half time St Vincents were in control as they led 2-09 to 0-05. The second half was one way traffic as St Vincents wrapped it up adding another 2-12 to Na Fianna’s 0-01 to claim their place in the 1st Rd and a meeting with Ferbane side Wheery next weekend.

MOUTH-GUARDS
A very important reminder to ALL players at all levels in the Club – From 1st Jan 2014 all players must wear a mouth-guard in all official training sessions and games. A players insurance is null and void if he fails to wear a guard. The club expect 100% compliance.
CLUB AGM
The AGM of Na Fianna Minor Football Club will take place on this Thursday 30th January at 8:00pm in the Clubhouse in Geashill. All players, officials and members of the football club are asked to attend.
