Banagher, Offaly and the River Shannon in the Spotlight in Amsterdam

Banagher, Offaly and the River Shannon were in the spotlight recently in Amsterdam when Silver Line Cruises joined Tourism Ireland and up to 40 Dutch tour operators for an innovative Tourism Workshop.  The event took place in the Amsterdam ArenA and was the second workshop, of its kind, that Tourism Ireland in Amsterdam has held in the last year.

Karen van der Horst, Tourism Ireland’s manager for the Netherlands, said: “This type of event, where we talk directly to prospective holidaymakers, as well as to members of the influential travel trade, provides us with an excellent opportunity to spread the word about all the great things to see and do on a short break or holiday on the island of Ireland. It was also a really effective
