Drumcullen GAA Club
Poc Fada: Well done to Damien Spain and Joe Troy who represented their club, county and province with such distinction at the All Ireland Poc Fada at the weekend. Damien came sixth while Joe came eighth in the top class field. In the pairs Joe came second with Ruairi Convery of Derry while Damien came fifth with Gary Maguire of Dublin. Also congratulations to K/K’s Cillian Kiely who became the first person to retain the Boys U-16.
SHC: Drumcullen suffered another defeat in the SHC last week against St Rynagh’s by 2-19 to 1-15. They must now win their final game against Tullamore to avoid being in the relegation play-off against Shamrocks.
JHC: The Junior hurlers’ game against Killavilla was called off last week due to water lying on the field. It was refixed for last night (Tuesday).
Lotto: Numbers drawn were 6, 9, 24 and 28. Two match 3 winners each received €75. They were Sophie Moran and Promoter’s prize went to Marie Lyons. Thanks to all who continue to support the lotto and to the dedicated ticket sellers. Next week’s jackpot will be €7,450.
Camogie: Well done to the Offaly camogie team on reaching an historic first All Ireland semi-final and in particular to the Drumcullen contingent who are proudly flying the flag for the club.
