Clara GAA notes 16th July

Minor Football Championship

We collected our second brace of points after a very hard fought victory over Kilcormac/Killoughey on a score line of 0-17 to 2-5. Played on an excellently prepared pitch in Kilcormac, we raced into a six point lead but Kilcormac fought back and at half time we lead by 0-9 to 1-3. Within a few minutes of the restart Kilcormac scored a goal to level the game. From there to the finish both teams played some great football but we managed to score the few important scores. Team: Mark Fallon, Padraig Henry, Gavin Carroll, Colin Gavin, Paul Mulholland, Carl Stewart, Evan O’Meara, Willy Fleming (0-1), Callum Stewart(0-4), Evan Dignam, Adam Scanlon(0-6), Stephen Handy, Luke Kelly(0-4), Sam Rickard and Shane Bracken(0-2). Subs: Darren Fleming, Martin Fleming, Alan Gavin, David Newman, Gavin Fleming, Nigel Tobella and Scott Delaney
