Drumcullen GAA Club notes 9th Jan
Players Meeting:
An important players meeting on Wednesday, January 11 at 8pm. All players wishing to represent the club in hurling or football in 2012 must attend. Membership for 2012 is due at this meeting and the number of teams entered for 2012 will be on basis of attendance at meeting and membership collected. Membership for 2012 is €45 for Unemployed/Student and €85 for Employed. Each includes a share in a ticket for the county draw. Players can opt instead to pay €100 which will include full county draw ticket and membership. More players involvement in club affairs will be expected in 2012. Lotto:
Numbers drawn on January 7 were 5, 6, 8, 29. No jackpot winner. Five match 3 winners were Cronan Byrne; Mary Murray; Kitty O’Brien; Claire Guinan; Nora Dermody c/o Margaret Dooley. Promoters Prize Deirdre Gath. Next Jackpot is €2,950.
Congratulations:
Congratulations to Elaine Dermody who will receive her well deserved Camogie Player of the Year at the Offaly GAA Awards this Friday night in the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore.
Camogie Club Fundraiser:
Drumcullen Camogie Club have come up with a novel fundraiser for 2012 and is a test of sporting knowledge. The challenge is to pick the winners of a host of sporting events from golf to rugby to soccer and of course camogie. Whoever accumulates the most points will receive the first prize. Entry is €10.
Sympathy:
Sympathy is extended to the Morris family, Cloncarbon on the death of Seamus. Club members formed a guard of honour at the funeral.
