Tullamore Toastmasters
Well done to Ciara Kinnarney who gave her ice breaker speech at last Thursday nights Toastmaster meeting In the Tullamore Court Hotel. As Ciara spoke about her travels and life experiences we could all imagine being transported to those countries she so descriptively portrayed. It was not an easy task, standing up to speak for the first time and Ciara did a fantastic job. Well done also to Gareth Lenehan and Timothy Green for their inspiring and educational speeches. In Gareths speech entitled ‘the pursuit of success’ he spoke not of conventional successes but of the simpler things in life that inspire him. In Timothys fascinating speech entitled ‘Nicaragua and sign language’ we learned of the birth of a new language developed by the deaf community in this country. Topicsmaster John Murphy provided a broad range of topics that conjured up plenty of amusement and laughter. It was yet another great meeting from the Tullamore club.
Our next meeting will be taking place on the 13th October at 8:30pm in Tullamore Court Hotel. We will be hosting the humorous speech competition so come along as you’re guaranteed to have a good few laughs. As always the Tullamore Toastmasters club welcomes new members.
