Drumcullen GAA Club Notes

Fixture: Drumcullen play their second game in Division 1 this Sunday at 12pm when they welcome Tullamore to Rath. All support greatly appreciated.

U-21HC: The clubs Under 21 hurlers will be in action on St Patrick’s Day with Seir Kieran against Tullamore in Clareen at 12pm.

Lotto: Numbers drawn this week were 2, 13, 16 and 23. No jackpot winner. Three match 3 winners at €50 each: Nellie Carroll c/o Rody Carroll; Betty Spain c/o Peadar Nugent and Katee Hennessy c/o Marie Lyons. Promoters prize: Pat Heffernan. Next jackpot €3,550. Minor Camogie: Hard luck to the Drumcullen Minor Camogie team who were narrowly beaten in the 2010 Championship semi-final against St Rynagh’s on Sunday morning in Rath. There was two points in it at the end and the girls can count themselves very unlucky as a controversial goal was awarded to St Ryangh’s in the second-half when it looked as if the sliothar had not crossed the line.

Code of conduct: A club code of conduct and drugs/alcohol policy have recently been adopted. These apply to all members. A copy is available upon request from Club Secretary.

Dinner Dance: Thanks to all who attended the Dinner Dance and who helped to make the night a truly memorable one.

Lotto Rota: Team 4, Peadar Nugent’s team, is on duty this week.

Field Rota: Team 4, Declan Murray’s team, is on duty this week.
