Leinster Junior B Club Championship

Brosna Gaels were defeated by Lisdowney in the semi final of the Leinster Junior B club championship last Thursday on a scoreline of 1-06 to 1-12.

The starting 15 were Joe Kelly, Adrian Egan Niall Quinn, Ethan Keena, Anthony Phelan, Dean Bracken, Eamon McCabe, Colin Daly Joe Higgins, Keith Lawlor, Jeffery Cuskelly, Sam Lawlor, Paul Kelly, Micko Kelly & Killian Ryan. Subs: John Egan, Gary Larkin & Alan Kelly

Presentation Night

The Brosna Gaels Presentation night will take place this Saturday, 26th February in Pullough Community Centre. The players will be presented with their medals by Galway hurlers Ollie Canninng. Dinner will be served at 9pm sharp with music by Midnight Boogie, a full bar and disco till late. Tickets are available from any member of the committee at a cost of €5.

AGM

The AGM took place this on Monday evening in Ballycumber. Many thanks to all who attended. The following were elected: Chairman Frankie Fox, Secretary Liam Hackett, Asst. Secretary: Glenn Halligan, Treasurer Ciaran McDonald, Asst Treasurer: Alex McCabe, PRO: Alma Egan. Brosna Gaels would like the tanks all those who supported the culb in 2010, thankfully there are too many to mention. We look forward to your continued support in the coming season.

Indoor Hurling

Indoor Hurling takes place in Ballinahown Hall on Tuesday evenings for national school children. U8’s from 6:30 to 7:15pm and over 8’s from 7:15 to 8pm.

Indoor hurling starts this Thursday in Ballycumber from 7 – 8:30pm.

There will be a cost of 1 per child. All welcome. We hope to have Indoor hurling in Pullough in the next few weeks.

Congratulations

Hearty congratulations to Lorraine Keena & Triona McDonald on their recent camogie successes! Lorraine was part of the Waterford IT camogie team who were victorious over UCC to claim the Ashbourne Cup, while Triona was part of the NUIG camogie team who were victorious over CIT to claim the Ashbourne Shield. Well done girls!

Congratulations also to Luke Gavin-Mangan, Avril Spain & Natasha Lynam who were part of the Bord nsScoil teams who played in O’Connor Park last Sunday.

U21 football

Congratulations to the St. Manchan’s u21 football side who were victorious over St. Broughan’s in Tubber last Saturday, best of luck in the semi final against Rhode.
