U12 HURLING
CLARA Vs SEIR KIERANS- Clara travelled to Clareen for the final game of their group needing a win to progress to the semi-final of U12 hurling. Having defeated Brosna Gaels last week on a scoreline of 2-5 to 0-1 the Clara lads knew they needed to up their game as the score in that match was 2 pts to 1 pt at half time with Brosna Gaels unlucky not to be ahead. However it was different this time as Clara got out of the blocks very fast and scored 5 early goals from Josh McCloskey and Conor Murray. By half time it was decided to mix up the teams and Seamus O’Brien, David Falsey, Conor Egan and Ciaran Doyle had the privilege of wearing the famous Seir Kieran colours. With Clara safely into the semi-finals and the pressure off both teams played some lovely skilful hurling and Clara can now look forward to the semi finals.
