SuperHomes Programme Manager and Acting Deputy CEO of Tipperary Energy Agency Declan Daly said ‘Tipperary Energy Agency is delighted to contribute to the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the Midlands region by delivering home retrofits via SuperHomes.  Since 2015 we have successfully retrofitted over 300 homes all over Ireland to a high standard.  We will be growing our experienced retrofit engineering team who will be working on these homes to create a once in a lifetime whole house retrofit. By increasing retrofits, the renovation wave will create more efficient homes for people at risk of energy poverty — meaning lower energy bills and warmer comfortable homes while moving away from burning fossil fuels’.

Homeowners in the Midlands can apply now for up to 35% funding to retrofit their homes on Superhomes.ie Places are limited and homeowners who are interested in applying are advised to get their application in early.  A completed SuperHome will enjoy an energy rating of B2 or above and typically includes an air to water heatpump, advanced ventilation, insulation and options for triple glazed windows, high efficiency wood burning stoves and electricity generation with solar PV.
