IFA Employment Seminar to address legislation, legal & insurance issues
IFA is holding an Employment Seminar ‘Employment Compliance for Farmer Employers’ on Thurs, 6th May at 7.30 pm. The event will take place over Microsoft Teams.
The seminar will include an expert panel to discuss the importance of compliance for farmer employers and an overview of its new employment service.
The panel will take farmer employers through the main issues around employment legislation and the important legal, insurance, and other issues they need to be cognisant of as an employer.

The Chairman of IFA Member Services, Martin Stapleton, said that the needs of farmers are not addressed in the area of employment legislation. “Farmer employers can find themselves very exposed in this area. The provision of a specialised, tailored service in line with farmer needs is long overdue for the agricultural sector,” he said.
IFA has partnered with HR Duo, a HR specialist company, to offer members a professional Employment Service. IFA’s Employment Service enables members to become and remain compliant with employment legislation.
Jerome Forde, Managing Director of Hr Duo said, “The impact of poor employment practises could leave farmers exposed to WRC, Labour Court action and many other legal matters. The service is specifically tailored for the employment requirements of farmers”.
